Kinly joined the CKRM team in 2021. Before joining CKRM, Kinly was a customer, completing many of the races she now directs. An athlete her whole life, Kinly brings a wide range of experience in athletics to the team. Starting in grade school, she competed in both cross country and swimming. As an adult, Kinly continued swimming and found a passion for ultra running. Kinly has completed every ultra distance from 50K to 100 mile, achieving the big one at the Prairie Spirit Ultra in Ottawa, KS, in 2021. She’s also racked up significant crew experience, assisting
runners throughout the country at races like Rocky Raccoon 100, Leadville 100, and Badwater 135.
As cross training, Kinly got into cycling, and with running and swimming under her belt, naturally fell into triathlons. Lately Kinly is focused mostly on CrossFit, competing regularly and medaling at competitions in Kentucky.
Outside of athletics, Kinly is an accomplished pianist. She has a master’s degree in
piano pedagogy and has been both a professional player and instructor for the last 11 years. She also works with Commonwealth Broadcasting, doing public relations for 107.3 Jack FM and KMO Country 101.5.

When not running cross country and track for her school team, Gemma can be found helping at the start/finish lines. If you’re lucky, you may see her streak by you in a race. She started running in the first grade and has never looked back. When not running, she can be found cuddling her cat, T’Challa, and playing games with her brothers. Just don’t accept a Mario Kart challenge unless you are fully prepared.
